Walton High School is a public, four-year, comprehensive high school with a strong college-preparatory program. It is located in eastern Cobb County, a suburban residential community within the greater metropolitan Atlanta area.
Walton’s reputation for excellence through achievement was publicized nationwide in the January 18, 1999 issue of U.S. News and World Report. Walton was one of six featured schools identified from among 96 “Outstanding American High Schools.” Some of the schools academic highlights include:

Combining a very strong high school & middle school wrestling program, Walton is a perennial top 5 program in Georgia’s highest high school classification, AAAAA. Some of the program’s highlights include:

2004-2005 - 2nd in Traditional State Tournament (8 total state placers)
2004-2005 – 3rd at the State Duals
2003-2004 – 3rd in Traditional State Tournament (5 state placers, including 1 state champion)
